מִצְאוּ רֶבַע: 1/4 of 20 = ? = 5
זַהוּ רֶבַע: 🍕 in 4 slices → 1 slice = ? = 1/4
הַשְׁוָאָה: 1/2 or 1/4 — which is bigger? = 1/2 (bigger pieces!)

רֶבַע = חָלַק בְּ-4!
1/4 הוּא חֲצִי שֶׁל 1/2 — אָז עוֹד יוֹתֵר קָטָן!
4 רְבָעִים = 1 שָׁלֵם. 2 רְבָעִים = 1/2.

For Parents: How to Teach This

אַחֲרֵי חֲצָאִים, יְלָדִים לוֹמְדִים רְבָעִים. הִשְׁתַּמְּשׁוּ בְּקִפּוּל: קַפְּלוּ נְיָר פַּעַם = 2 חֲלָקִים, קַפְּלוּ שׁוּב = 4 חֲלָקִים. הַדְגִּישׁוּ אֶת הַקֶּשֶׁר: 1/4 הוּא חֲצִי שֶׁל 1/2. וְ-2/4 = 1/2. הִשְׁתַּמְּשׁוּ בַּשָּׁעוֹן: רֶבַע שָׁעָה = 15 דַּקּוֹת = 1/4 מִ-60 דַּקּוֹת.
